Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the unexpected hits of 2023. A game which originally dropped on April Fool's Day, it has won fans for its quirky premise, cute writing, and surprisingly earnest and heartfelt message.

So... why does this thing exist? Why did the decision-makers at SEGA allow a Sonic the Hedgehog social media manager, Katie Chrzanowski, make a visual novel in which the company's mascot is murdered?

The answer is, yes, it's a marketing tool, but it's also a labour of love by a group of passionate game developers and enthusiasts who wanted to make something a little odd, but which reflected their particular love of both Sonic the Hedgehog and the wider pantheon of SEGA games.

Lots of love, BretonStripes and Kotor
