Summary

[edit]
Description
English: West Newton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
A pair of semi-detached estate cottages on the north side of West Newton Road, built in the later 19th century for the landowners at Burton Constable Hall. West Newton township was added to Marton to form Burton Constable civil parish in 1935. Although a row of eight council houses pretty much doubled the population of the hamlet when they were built in the mid 20th century, there were still fewer than twenty houses in West Newton in 1991.
