Nederlands: Politici die een giftig en vernederend “wij tegen zij”-discours hanteren, creëren een meer verdeelde en gevaarlijke wereld. Dit zegt Amnesty International in zijn jaarlijkse evaluatie van de wereldwijde staat van de mensenrechten.
Amnesty’s jaarrapport beschrijft de mensenrechtensituatie in 159 landen en maakt een grondige analyse van de stand van zaken wat betreft mensenrechten in de wereld. Het rapport waarschuwt voor de gevolgen van de “wij tegen zij”-retoriek die overheerst in Europa, de Verenigde Staten en elders in de wereld.
