Description
Nederlands: Waarom betalen mensen meer dan 9 miljoen euro voor een opgezette vis? Is dát nu kunst? En WAT wordt ervoor betaald?! Belachelijk!” Een gedachte die door menig hoofd schiet bij het zien van moderne ‘kunst’. Kunstenaar Damien Hirst kreeg het voor elkaar om €9 miljoen te ontvangen voor een reusachtige haai op sterk water. Voor zijn schedel ingelegd met diamanten zelfs €75 miljoen! Maar is dit nou kunst? Waar blijft de ambacht? Wat maakt dan nog een kunstenaar? Kunsthistoricus prof. dr. Henk van Os (UvA) leert je alles over de rol van de moderne kunstenaar.

Deze week in Universiteit van Nederland: Kunsthistoricus prof. dr. Henk van Os!

Prof. dr. Henk van Os is als hoogleraar Kunst en Samenleving verbonden aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Van 1989 tot 1996 was professor Van Os algemeen directeur van het Rijksmuseum, waar hij onder andere de beschadiging van de Nachtwacht met chemicaliën meemaakte. Hij is een gewaardeerd kunstkenner en stelde onder andere de tentoonstellingen van het Groninger Museum, Het Mauritshuis en De Nieuwe Kerk te Amsterdam samen. Ook presenteerde hij verschillende televisie kunstprogramma's als Beeldenstorm en Museumschatten.
