English: View along the Norwich to Ely railway line. The bridge seen in the background (in adjacent grid square) bypasses the defunct level crossing by the closed Hethersett Station. For another view of this bridge see > 1625645. This view was taken from a footbridge over the line > 1625767.
Hethersett Station > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1607207 was closed in 1966 but trains on the Norwich to Thetford/Ely line are still travelling past here. The level crossing on Station Lane has been bypassed by a bridge > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1607178 which takes traffic over the line, a short distance further to the south-west. |
