English: View across the sidings to the buses, near to Cranham, Havering, Great Britain.
This and all following shots were taken around Upminster Train Depot whilst I was attending the 50th Anniversary Open Day there. I took this shot across the sidings from the queue for tickets - the red buffer stops can just be seen. The Routemaster buses in the background were on special runs taking train enthusiasts to the depot, but retained their original destination blinds from when they used to run on Route 248 for nostalgia. The white building on the right is an office, and one of the train sheds can just be seen behind that. The c2c railway from where it leaves the District line outside Upminster station is behind the railings and trees in the distance and Front Lane passes over it just behind the floodlight mast (I think this is the one featured in John Winfield's <a href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/19553">TQ5787 : Floodlight Tower, LTE Depot, Cranham, Upmister</a>). View taken looking southeast towards St Mary's Lane. |
