Description
English: Pendant with a Parrot on a perch. Enamelled gold, pearl, and a table-cut foiled triplet ( rock crystal on the top, with a red foil, as ruby simulant ). 1600-1650, probably Spain.

Formerly in the Treasure of the Cathedral of the Virgin of the Pillar, Saragossa. A part of the treasury was sold in 1870, and some objects were purchased by the museum.

Victoria and Albert Museum, no. 337-1870. ( Rooms 91-92. Photographs in these rooms are now allowed.)
