Summary
[edit]DescriptionVictoria Pier - geograph.org.uk - 838428.jpg |
English: Victoria Pier. This view is looking west from the walkway around The Deep across the outflow of the river Hull to the wooden structure of the Victoria Pier. This pier was a major transport route from Hull to North Lincolnshire via the ferries which steamed over to New Holland each day. The use as a ferry terminal ceased in 1981 with the opening of 763087.
Note the sloping ramp (see 836823), new buildings on the skyline, and the trees on Nelson Street. Refreshments also are available per 836846 and 546516. |
