Nesta semana, temos um vídeo inédito. Trata-se da entrevista com Sílvia Capanema, professora adjunta na Universidade de Paris e doutora em História pela École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. A historiadora é, também, autora do livro João Cândido e os navegantes: A Revolta da Chibata e a segunda abolição, publicado pela Editora Malê em 2022, obra que é comentada pela professora nessa entrevista. No decorrer da conversa a professora discorre sobre a luta pela segunda abolição no Brasil, a partir da análise que faz em seu livro, abordando a Revolta da Chibata e como esta primeira influencia o levante dos marujos na década de 1910. Ainda, Capanema nos fala sobre a relação entre as reinvindicações dos marinheiros na época, a memória em torno do próprio João Cândido e da Revolta e as pautas raciais do presente. |
