Porträt Karl Rudolf Graf von der Schulenburg (1788-1856), Generalbevollmächtigter des Herzogtums Sagan und Oberstleutnant in österreichischen Diensten. Schulenburg ist als Wollsack mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Neben dem Titel "Gr. v. Schulenburg" und einem Vers unter dem Bild, ist der linke Rand der Zeichnung mit einem großen und einem kleinen "W" versehen. - nachträglich mit einem Kreuz hinter Titel/Namen versehen [Bildunterschrift] Den Wollsack man zu Markte führt/ Die Krone einen Koenig ziert.Biografisches Karl Rudolf Graf von der Schulenburg (1788–1856) war Generalbevollmächtigter des Herzogtums Sagan und Oberstleutnant in österreichischen Diensten.(1) Als Major diente er zur Zeit des Wiener Kongresses als Flügeladjutant unter Fürst Schwarzenberg. (2) 1819 heiratete Schulenburg in Löbichau Wilhelmine von Sagan, die älteste Tochter der Herzogin von Kurland. Es war bereits Wilhelmines dritte Ehe. (3) Bei der Reformierung der wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse im Herzogtum Sagan erwarb er sich Verdienste. Ab 1846 verwaltete Schulenburg die Güter der Herzogin Dorothee von Dino-Talleyrand, der jüngsten Schwester seiner Frau. (4) Er starb 1856 und wurde in Sagan beerdigt.
