Porträt Johann Friedrich Schink (1755-1835), Dichter, Gesellschafter der Herzogin von Kurland und später Bibliothekar der Herzogin Wilhelmine von Sagan. In Löbichau 1819 zum "Frauenlob II" erhoben. Schink ist als Brunnen mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Neben dem Titel "Schink" und einem Vers unter dem Bild, ist der linke Rand der Zeichnung mit einem großen und einem kleinen "B" versehen. - nachträglich mit einem Kreuz hinter Titel/Namen versehen [Bildunterschrift] Der Brunnen frisches Wasser giebt/ Der Baer den süssen Honig liebt.Biografisches Der Dichter und Dramaturg Johann Friedrich Schink (1755–1835) wurde 1755 in Magdeburg geboren und studierte ab 1773 Theologie in Halle, wobei er sich schon während seines Studiums dem Theater und der Dramaturgie zuwandte. (1) 1789 berief man ihn als Theaterdichter nach Hamburg, wo er bis 1797 blieb. Später diente er an verschiedenen Orten als Privatlehrer, unter anderem in Hannover, Wien und Graz. 1819 erhielt er eine Gesellschafterstelle bei der Herzogin von Kurland in Löbichau. Er war ein Freund Goeckingks (1748–1828), Elisa von der Reckes (1754–1833) und Tiedges (1752–1841), wobei besonders letzterer Schinks Dichtkunst schätzte. In Löbichau und Tannenfeld besang und bedichtete Schink alle anwesenden Frauen und Mädchen und wurde in einer feierlichen Zeremonie 1819 zum „Frauenlob II.“ gekrönt. (2) Dieses Ereignis hielt Ernst Welker in einer Zeichnung fest: "Aufnahme Frauenlobs des 2 ten am 8. September Löbichau 1819" Nach dem Tod der Herzogin von Kurland ernannte deren älteste Tochter Wilhelmine von Sagan den Dichter 1822 zu ihrem Bibliothekar. In Sagan lebte und arbeitete Schink dann bis zu seinem Tod 1835.
