Porträt Laura Elisa Försters (1799-1863/64), Tochter des preußischen Schulreformers Friedrich Gedike und Frau Dr. Friedrich Försters. Laura Förster ist als Fahne mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Unter dem Bild befindet sich ein Reimvers. - nachträglich mit einem Kreuz hinter Titel/Namen versehen - unter dem Titel kann man in Bleistift "Mdm. Förster" lesen - Der Vers unter dem Bild wurde nachträglich überschrieben und passt nicht zum Versal "S" im Blatt. [Bildunterschrift] Es sind gar viele deutsche Frauen/ Wie diese lieblich anzuschaun.Biografisches Laura Elisa Förster (1799–1863/64) (1), Tochter des preußischen Schulreformers Friedrich Gedike (1754–1803), heiratete 1818 den Schriftsteller und Historiker Friedrich Christoph Förster (1791–1868). In den Berliner Salons galt sie als gebildete wie musikalische Frau und wurde von der Gesellschaft als liebenswürdiges Original geschätzt. (2) Sie zählte offenbar zu den schönsten Frauen Berlins ihrer Zeit und inspirierte Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wohl sogar zu einem Gedicht. Als sie starb, raubte ihr Tod ihrem Mann scheinbar „seine lichte Lebensfreudigkeit, die ihn bis dahin auch in den schwersten Stunden nicht verlassen hatte“.
