Porträt Clementine Katharine Pauline Johanne Elisabeth (1817–1894). Pauline ist als Igel mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Neben dem Titel "Gr. Pauline Bressler" und einem Vers unter dem Bild, ist der linke Rand der Zeichnung mit einem großen und einem kleinen "I" versehen. [Bildunterschrift] Der Igel ist ein kleines Thier/ Man geb' ihm Chocolad und Bier.Biografisches Clementine Katharine Pauline Johanne Elisabeth Bressler (1817–1894), eine geborene Solms-Sonnewalde, war die Nichte der Schwestern Jeanette (Loeben) und Wilhelmine Bressler. Sie war die Tochter von Clementine Constantine Gottliebe Bressler (1790–1872) und des Grafen Wilhelm Karl Peter Theodor von Solms-Sonnewalde (1787–1859). Ihr Großvater, Graf Gottlieb Wilhelm von Bressler (gest. 1814), stammte aus Kurland. 1846 heiratete sie den Grafen Hermann von Schlippenbach (1809–1862). Kinder aus dieser Ehe sind allerdings nicht bekannt. (1) Pauline war zur Zeit der Entstehung von Welkers Zeichnungen erst drei Jahre alt. „Ich hole aus der Mappe noch ihre zu ihnen gehörige Nichte, Pauline Breßler, hervor, die Schwester meiner Pflegeschwester Klara, daher wir uns bis in’s Alter als gewissermaßen zusammengehörig betrachtet haben; ihr rundes, frisches Gesichtchen von damals hat sich in die ausgebildeteren Züge einer schönen Matrone umgewandelt, in deren Leben viele bittre Schicksale eingegriffen haben.“ (Emilie von Binzer, Der Sommer in Löbichau, S. 86f.) 1 O.V.: Die Grafen Bressler auf Lauske.
