Description
Svenska: Bård med pampas katter 1935.32.0080

På bården finns åtta kattdjur avbildade. Troligen är det pampaskatter (Oncifelis colocolo eller Leopardus colocolo). På övre delen av katternas kroppar finns troféhuvuden, och på varje tass finns ett mänskligt ansikte. Alla katter har huvudet åt samma håll men varannan katt är vänd upp och ner. Material och teknik Broderad med ullgarn på bomullstyg, vävt i tuskaft. Broderiet är gjort i färgfältsstil och sytt med stjälkstygn. Datering och ursprung Paracas Nekropolis, Intermedio Temprano 1B-2 (ca 100 f.kr – 200 e.kr).

En esta franja de orilla hay ocho figuras felinas. Probablemente se trate de gatos de la pampa. En la parte superior del cuerpo de los gatos hay una cabeza trofeo y cada pata tiene un rostro humano. Todos los gatos tienen la cabeza apuntando hacia la misma dirección, pero se van alternando en su disposición hacia arriba o hacia abajo.

Material y técnica

Bordado de lana sobre tela de algodón tejida a dos lizos. El bordado está hecho en estilo de bloques de color, con punto de tallo.

Eight felines, probably pampas cats (Oncifelus colocolo or Leopardus colocolo) are depicted on the border. There are trophy heads on the upper part of the cats’ bodies and human face on each paw. All the cats have their heads turned in the same direction, but alternate cats are inverted.

Material and technique

Embroidered with woollen yarn on plain-woven woollen fabric. The embroidery is in stem-stitch in colour-field style.
