Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Sebelum mengenal bermacam-macam agama resmi, orang Ngaju tidak dipisahkan dari kehidupan spiritualnya yang dikenal dengan kepercayaan Kaharingan. Berbagai macam upacara ritual dilakukan sebagai wujud implementasi kehidupan spiritual guna memberikan keseimbangan kehidupan manusia dengan alam sekitarnya. Mereka menyadari jika hal ini tidak dilaksanakan, akan mengganggu kehidupan mereka, termasuk dalam pekerjaan dan terlebih dalam aktivitas pertanian mereka. Tak satupun peristiwa penting yang dilalui tanpa upacara ritual baik dalam kehidupan maupun kematian. Beberapa diantaranya adalah Upacara Kehamilan dan Kelahiran yang meliputi Upacara Nyaki Ehet/Dirit (Upacara Tujuh Bulanan), Upacara Mangkang Kahang Badak (Upacara Sembilan Bulanan), dan Upacara Palas Bidan. Ada pula Upacara Masa Kanak-kanak, Upacara Perkawinan yang dilaksanakan oleh suku Dayak Ngaju dibagi dalam empat tahap yaitu Tahap Pertama, Tahap Kedua, Maja Misek, Perjanjian Laki-laki, dan Menyaki Rambat. Umumnya, masyarakat Ngaju yang sudah mulai mengenal dan memeluk agama resmi baik Kristen, Katolik atau Islam mengaggap ajaran Kaharingan telah menjadi adat bagi masyarakat Dayak. Mereka tetap melaksanakan upacara meski tidak sepenuhnya dan terkadang apa yang mereka lakukan sering dikatakan bertentangan dengan ajaran agama yang telah mereka anut.
English: Before knowing a variety of religion, which are considered as the official religion by the government, Ngaju people could not be separated with their spiritual life which is known as the Kaharingan belief. Kind of ritual ceremonies are performed as a form of implementing spiritual life to provide a balance of human life with the natural surroundings. They realize that if this is not done, it would disrupt their lives, including in work and especially in their agricultural activities. None of these important events would pass without rituals both in life and death. Some of the ritual ceremonies are The Seven Monthly Ceremony, Mangkang Kahang Badak Ceremony, Nine Monthly Ceremony, and Palas Bidan Ceremony. There is also a Childhood Ceremony. A Marriage Ceremony conducted by the Dayaknese of Ngaju tribe divided into four stages, there are the First Stage, the Second Stage, Maja Misek, the Male Agreement, and Menyaki Rambat. Generally, Ngaju people who have started to recognize and embrace the official religion such as Christianity, Catholicism or Islam in regard to Kaharingan religion have become customary for the Dayaknese community. They still carry out the ceremony although not in the complete way even sometimes, what they do is often said as contradictive to the religion they believe in.
