[edit]US Navy photo: 060219-N-4374S-011 Persian Gulf (Feb. 19, 2006) - The British Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship RFA Bayleaf (A 109) approaches the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4) for a replenishment at sea (RAS). Nassau is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment conducting maritime security operations (MSO). MSO sets the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO also deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
