Description
English: Title: U.S. Custom House in New Orleans, Louisiana

Physical description: 1 photograph : digital, tiff file, color.

Notes: Architect was Alexander Thompson Wood. Built between the years 1848-1881, the building occupies the full trapezoidal downtown city block bounded by Canal, North Peters, Iberville and Decatur Streets. The entire exterior of the building, with the exception of the cornice, is constructed of gray granite from Quincy, Massachusetts.; Photographed as part of an assignment for the General Services Administration.; Title, date and keywords from information provided by the photographer.; Forms part of: Photographs in the Carol M.
