Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An older notice explained "Among the finds unearthed in the Smintheion excavations, terracotta figurine heads are very striking. The most important feature of this type of terracotta figurines is that the mouth parts are not specified. The eyes are expressed as horizontal scratches or reliefs, while the nose combined with the eyebrows is usually expressed as relief. The holes in the nose or ears of some specimens must have been made for jewellery. "
