ID#: 4300 Description: This Sabouraud’s dextrose agar plate culture is growing T. terrestre fungus, strain x231 producing a red pigment.

The dermatophytic genus Trichophyton sp. is one of the leading causes of hair, skin, and nail infections in humans, and includes anthropophilic, zoophilic, and geophilic species. Some are localized, while others are distributed worldwide.
