Lançada nesta quarta-feira (27), a Revisão do Transporte Marítimo 2023 pede ação ousada e colaboração sistêmica em meio às crescentes emissões de carbono e à incerteza regulatória.

O relatório da Conferência das Nações Unidas para o Comércio e Desenvolvimento (UNCTAD) destaca que indústria naval é responsável por mais de 80% do volume de comércio mundial e 3% das emissões globais de gases de efeito estufa, que continuaram a crescer 20% em apenas uma década.

Antes da COP28, a UNCTAD defende combustíveis mais limpos, soluções digitais e uma transição equitativa para descarbonizar o transporte marítimo global.

Precisamos de uma estratégia de transição ambientalmente eficaz, processualmente justa, socialmente justa, tecnologicamente inclusiva e globalmente equitativa.
