Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The view west along the Edinburgh Trams system in the Haymarket Yards area. This is the beginning of the permanent way section - up ahead is the first crossover for the Haymarket Yards siding, which is just about visible on the right. At this stage the line was in the first few months of testing along the full route. The two yellow signals are set to 'turn left', to indicate that the path is set for the mainline (i.e. westbound trams won't leave the westbound track at the first set of points, and even if they did they did and found themselves on the eastbound track, they wouldn't then enter the siding). The white signal at the very front of the shot however is set to stop, meaning their status is moot anyway.
