Description
Français : La collectivité régionale, labellisée Terre de Jeux pour Paris 2024, a accueilli mardi 25 juillet 2023, les drapeaux des Jeux Olympiques Paris 2024, ainsi que la délégation de passage dans notre archipel.

Cette démarche qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de la « Tournée des Drapeaux », vise à mettre en lumière les acteurs impliqués dans la dynamique des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques 2024.

Les élus régionaux, Camille Elisabeth, Bernadette Thuram-Ulien , Valérie Samuel-Cesarus et Jean-Marie Pilli, en présence d’athlètes et des présidents de Ligues ont pris part à cette opération au sein de l’hémicycle à Basse-Terre.

La tournée des drapeaux se conçoit comme un rappel à l’histoire de l’olympisme partagée par une population, mais aussi une perception du sens que la Région Guadeloupe revendique comme une terre de sports, une terre de champions.

C’est surtout l’occasion d’introduire pour l’année prochaine, le passage de la flamme olympique en Guadeloupe le 15 juin 2024.
