English: Three Bridges across the Tweed The pillars in the foreground belong to the Royal Border Bridge carrying the East Coast mainline trains between England and Scotland. The modern road bridge in the middle distance is the Royal Tweed Bridge carrying the Great North Road (aka A1) between England and Scotland. The most distant bridge is the Old Bridge nowadays merely carrying local traffic between Tweedmouth and Berwick. |
