| Description |
English: Thompson Graving Dock [2] This is the gate at the front of the dock. It was specially constructed for the new class of White Star liners in the early 1900's but had to be enlarged further for the vessels 'Titanic' and 'Olympic'. The gate is designed to be able to float and be moved nearer the entrance to increase the length of the dock. |
