Nederlands: Theateroktober - Een expo met werk van de Russische avant-garde 1917-1931 Deze tentoonstelling schetst een beeld van de avant-garde die in het Russische theater actief was van 1917 tot 1931. Bekende regisseurs waren onder meer Meyerhold en Tairov. Ze maakten revolutionair theater. Ze wilden zowel het theater en de revolutie met elkaar verbinden, als het theater grondig hervormen. Een constructivistische scenografie en een aan de biomechaniek ontleende speelstijl zijn de exponenten daarvan. 'Theateroktober' toont een selectie uit de unieke collectie van tientallen maquettes en foto's van ensceneringen uit die periode, verzameld door de afdeling theaterwetenschap van de universiteit van Keulen, onder leiding van professor Elmar Buck. De tentoonstelling wordt begeleid door een rijkelijk geïllustreerde catalogus. Het Theaterfestival biedt daarvan een Nederlandse vertaling aan, samen met een inleidend artikel van Luk Van den Dries en Thomas Crombez. De tentoonstelling is tijdens Het Theaterfestival open van 17 uur tot na het einde van de voorstellingen. Na Het Theaterfestival kan u de tentoonstelling nog in deSingel bezoeken tot 24 september. Français : Cette exposition trace un portrait de l'avant-garde active au sein du théâtre russe entre 1917 et 1931. Des metteurs en scènes connus tels notamment Meyerhold et Tairov présentaient du théâtre révolutionnaire. Ils voulaient d'une part établir un lien entre le théâtre et la révolution, d'autre part réformer de fond en comble le théâtre, ceci tant à travers une scénographie constructiviste que grâce à un jeu inspiré de la biomécanique. 'Theateroktober' présente une sélection issue de la collection unique de dizaines de maquettes et photos de mises en scène datant de cette période, répertoriées par la section sciences du théâtre de l'Université de Cologne, sous la direction de professeur Elmar Buck. L'exposition prévoit aussi un catalogue richement illustré. Le Festival de Théâtre y présente une traduction en néerlandais ainsi qu'un article d'introduction de Luk Van den Dries et Thomas Crombez. Lors du Festival de Théâtre, l'exposition est ouverte à partir de 17 h jusqu'après la fin des représentations. Après le Festival de Théâtre, vous pourrez encore visiter l'exposition jusqu'au 24 septembre à deSingel. English: This exhibition provides an outline of the avant-garde active in Russian theatre from 1917 to 1931. Famous directors at the time included Meyerhold and Tairov. They made revolutionary theatre. Their aim was to link the theatre with the revolution as well as to thoroughly reform the theatre.
