Description
(Structured Illumination Microscopy - SIM).
English: The nuclei of human cells stained with antibodies for the structural proteins of chromosomes. Red channel - staining of heterochromatin protein 1a which marking silent genes in chromosomes. In the green channel staining the chromosome structural protein - histone H2AX, which marks active genes. Cells are caught at the time of their division. At the same time, both cells are an exact genetic copy (clone) of each other. The photograph was obtained using a high-resolution laser confocal microscope (Structured Illumination Microscopy - SIM).
