| Description |
English: The railway west of Brough, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The photograph was taken from the eastbound platform at Brough Station and is looking in a NWW direction. This section of the railway forms the mainline out of Hull towards London, Sheffield, Leeds and York. There were plans at one time to electrify it, but like many other things, Hull has 'missed out' once again. As the photograph was taken with a powerful telephoto lens (600mm in 35mm camera terms), the lines show up all of their imperfections - especially the one seen on the left here - it looks more like a rollercoaster than a main railway line! |
