[edit]DescriptionThe journey of the Large Intestine Meridian.ogv |
English: The animation represents: The Journey of the large intestine meridian of the metal element according to the Theory of the five elements of Acupuncture.
This meridian runs up the arm following a line that goes from the thumb to the shoulder, going through the radius, always at the edge of a limb. The large intestine Meridian is not only in charge of this organ's activity, but also includes the flow of energy that the body uses for several activities. At the organic level, The large intestine Meridian helps us get rid of the part of the nutrition and of the energy that flows through our body that is of no use to us. Pressure can be applied with the thumb of the opposite hand, for 8 seconds in three consecutive times. According to the point being pressed, different symptoms can be soothed, such as: fever, diarrhea, skin rash, tooth problems and facial tension, head-ache, neck-ache, reddening and pain in the eye, bleeding (epistexis), nasal blocking and nasal discharge, (rhinorrhea), hearing impairments, different facial pains, sore throat, parotitis, mumps (parotiditis), trismus, facial paralysis, febrile illnesses, abdominal pain, dysentery, constipation, amenorrhea, child seizures and motor problems in the upper limbs, etc. This Blender animation project was realized by Anne Mysolvis Hernández Morillo, under the supervision of the teacher of the University of Cádiz (UCA), Lorena Gutiérrez Madroñal Ph.D. as a responsible of the subject Multimedia tools and animation and Francisco Lucena, Acupuncture expert.
