Description
English: Found this about 35 years ago 4' deep in inter-coastal marsh, 200 yards from tree line of Fancy Hall, on the north bank of Midway River, about 150 yards from the mouth of the sound, due west of St. Catherines Island I believe. A museum in Savannah only said it was very old, then tried to confiscate it, or steal it more likely ...I've seen similar tools used by Japanese fisherman on Discovery channel, using it to turn tuna for market sales....but this is hand made, old, individually marked with a brand type burn on the handle. Any clues would be welcomed and appreciated!
