Description
English: This slide deck provides a historical look at Wiki Research -- summarizing the state of the art of how Wikipedia works. Then it discusses some of the reasons Wikipedia research has been so popular in academic scholarship. Finally it makes a case for three key areas of study: gaps in content and contributors, newcomer retention vs. quality control, and 3rd party re-use of wiki content.
