| Description |
English: The entrance to Withernsea's former pier, Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The 1196 foot pier opened to the public in 1877 but by the end of the nineteenth century its days were numbered because of various collisions by ships. The pier was finally decommissioned in 1903 and now all that remains is the crenellated stone entrance. See Link. |
