Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Dyfi at high tide This is the point where the Dyfi is usually reckoned to change from river to estuary, although the tide flows much higher up. The land opposite often floods after heavy rain and the higher tides. At low tide hereabouts the Romans had a crossing, now untraceable, as probably did their predecessors; the ancient fort of Domen Las sits atop a small mound overlooking the estuary. Taken from the RSPB hide by the fort.
