Description
English: Joseph Matthew Sullivan was the author of a 1908 dictionary of American criminal slang that was published in three editions: "Criminal Slang: a Dictionary of the Vernacular of the Under World" (Chicago, IL, USA: Detective Pub. Co., 1908); "Criminal Slang" (Boston, MA, USA: Wayland D. Russell, 1908); and "Criminal Slang: A Dictionary of the Vernacular of the "Underworld,” Revised edition, (Boston, MA, USA: Underworld Pub. Co., 1908). He also published "Criminal Slang," an article published in the "American Law Review" Volume 52, 1918, p. 885-889.
