This lively cakewalk was originally self-published by seventeen year old Verdi Karns in 1899 and later re-published by Remer Music House in Mt. Clemens, Michigan in 1905, which is the edition shown here. This piece was named after a street fair in her native Bluffton, Indiana. She is known to have published seven scores, including "Ragamuffin" (already featured) and "Blufftonian Waltzes", plus four other scores not currently findable online. This title was featured in the Nora Hulse CD "Ragtime Refreshments" which featured ragtime related scores all wriitten by women. (Thanks to JohnJ1995 for the CD info).
