English: Frozen Section of Optic Nerve of a Mouse Inoculated in the Vitreous Chamber with TMEV and Sacrificed 4 d Later The section was doubly stained for GFAP (green) and TMEV capsid antigen (red). Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI. The section was examined with a Zeiss Axioplan 2 microscope equipped with the Apotome device in order to obtain 0.7 μm thick optical sections. The video illustrates how optical section Z-stacks were used to assess colocalization of fluorescent markers. The video shows an example of infected GFAP-positive cell (astrocyte). |
