Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Unconjugated, infected T cells are non-polarized. Animation through a z-series of 5nm thick digital slices of a single axis tomogram, reconstructed from a 300nm thick section of a single, infected Jurkat T cell is shown. Colored overlay is a 3D surface model of the unpolarized morphology. Plasma membrane (semi-transparent) is depicted in red and the nucleus in brown. Organelles are rendered as follows: mitochondria (green), lipid bodies (pale blue) and lysosomes (orange). Virus is colored red.
