Description
English: Modeling the open state of TRPA1 channel. Model with each of the four identical subunits color-coded, showing views from side and top during channel opening. The lower gate-forming residues (I957 and V961) and position of proline P742 (yellow, S1–S2 linker) relative to three hydrophobic residues V737 (S1), W832 (S4) and I890 (S5) forming a “hydrophobic switch” (salmon) are explicitely shown in details. See also Figure 2.
