English: Testing the ferry's lifeboat
In addition to the ships lifeboats ferries also have a fast rescue craft (FRC) which can be launched quickly to assist (for example) the rescue of a passenger who has fallen overboard. This is the Stena Seafarers FRC exercising at Larne. This is quite common on a Sunday morning when there is a lull in the number of ferry sailings. |
