Description Temple Newsam tram terminus, Leeds. The prettiest tram terminus in Leeds, and very probably in England, was that at Temple Newsam, where route 22 provided an hourly service, augmented at busy times such as summer weekends. Here, 'Showboat' car 176 is seen awaiting time for its departure back to the Corn Exchange. Trams finished here on the last day of tramway operation in Leeds, 7 November 1959. Sadly, there is now no regular bus service to Temple Newsam.
