Summary
[edit]DescriptionTechnische Sammlungen Dresden Radiotechnik 019.jpg |
Deutsch: Technische Sammlungen Dresden. Two EAK "Zwergsuper" (midger superheterodyne) radios, probably model 64/50 introduced in 1950 [1]. These are, indeed, very small (310x220x120 mm). The EAK (Elektro-Apparatefabrik Köppelsdorf) was established in 1944 as the site for the equipment evacuated (or plundered, pick your choice) from the VEF plant in Riga. However, trains with this equipment mostly vanished in the fog of war. In 1945 the Soviets took their turn to dismantle and take home the Köppelsdorf factory, but this again was not completed. Eventually the factory recovered, and was integrated in the VEB Stern-Sonneberg group. |
