Additional Notes | First, a challenge to get involved in the struggle for justice in the Middle East. Following that, discussion of news items not covered in mainstream media. For example, one such item was the destruction of an entire village in the West Bank of Palestine on October 29 of this year. Two hundred and sixty four residents of the Al Qasa area, located less than half a kilometer from the Green line, were forced out of their homes which were then demolished. We are pleased to have two featured guests today. John Roberts is recently retired executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts. Kathy Roberts is an early childhood educator and organizer for teachers and parents around unhealthy children's media programs. John and Kathy have recently returned from a trip to Bethlehem which they visited as part of an 18-person delegation from Cambridge. The delegation was inspired by a Cambridge Peace Commission people-to-people initiative. |
