Additional Notes First, some ways to become involved in the struggle for justice in the Middle East. Second, a discussion of recent events affecting Palestinians. And finally, an extensive interview with our featured guests.
We have two guests today. With us in the studio is Jeff Klein, a retired president of a local trade union who has worked for many years as a machinist. He was active in the Anti-Apartheid struggle in South Africa as well as in the movement to stop US intervention in Central America during the 1980s. Jeff has been involved in the Palestine-Israel issue for the last 10 years, and has hosted and organized local events for delegations of visiting Palestinian trade unionists in 2002 and 2003. He is a member of the Boston Coalition for Palestinian Rights and is very active in his local anti-war, anti-racism organization, Dorchester People for Peace, which has made the issue of Palestine a significant part of its work.
And joining us from Chicago is Attorney Howard Lenow, a union side labor and civil rights lawyer living in Wayland, MA who has been in practice for almost 30 years. He is Vice Chair of the national grassroots organization, Jewish Voice for Peace and a co-chair of the JVP Health and Human Rights Project. Both Jeff Klein and Howard Lenow have just returned from the fifth JVP delegation of human rights activists to Palestine.
