Additional Notes First, some ways to become involved in the struggle for justice in the Middle East. Second, a discussion of recent events affecting Palestine. And finally, an extensive interview with our featured guest.
The subject of fear is one about which our featured guest has written extensively. And he should know. Dr. Hajo Meijir is a Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz, who lives today in the Netherlands, where he works as a publicist and essayist. Following the war, Dr. Meijir studied theoretical physics, and in 1950 joined the Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven, first as a researcher in solid state physics, then in various managerial functions. In 1956, he received a PhD in Physics and from 1974 to 1984 he held the position of Managing Director of that lab. Following his career at the lab, until 2002, Dr. Meijir created over fifty violins and violas, and sold most of them to professional musicians. He is a member of the Dutch group "Another Jewish Voice" and the "Coalition of European Jews for a Just peace (EJJP.ORG)." The English version of his most recent book "The End of Judaism?" has just been published. He joins us by telephone from Cape Cod. We think listeners will find his views extremely compelling.
