English: Further Piano Improvising- "Things Ain't What They Used To Be" (in educational views):
This sound file was arranged as the third chorus of "Things Ain't What They Used To Be" ( Mercer Ellington). (or in the view of piano sonatina form, I thought it would appear as the 3nd movement, or paragraph. My tutor preferred to name this piano creative procedure from vocal views, I can accept it.) In this chorus, C7, F7 and G7 were willing to make dialogues with pentatonic musical traditions (Wikipedia introduction:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentatonic_scale); and we can hear a funny & magic communication has been motivated out. Some ancient pentatonic elements were attached with each scale's thinking way; and they were happily together - to gentle interact, jump and dance. In this chorus, developing from TAWTUTB American Blues (its second chorus in my version - Wikimedia Commons introduction:https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:TAWTUTB_American_blues_in_Cm_Pentatonic.ogg), my tutor - Ray's teaching requirements and style have enlightened my thinking way, such as Open Seventh Bass accompaniment and the beginning with a landing quaver seventh-scale... Meanwhile, eastern harmony, from my kid's time, try to make coordinate with those requirements, but reflect out its own characteristics. The key words of its emotional background were 'interesting and joyfulness' , regarding with which I can imply a Daoism word - 'Yang' to describe this procedure. (Wikipedia introduction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yin_and_yang). This file was in the educational series with 'File:TAWTUTB American blues in Cm Pentatonic.ogg' , and for Future Learn Platform of future generations' future. |
