The gospel is from the 11th or 12th c.; the dedication probably dates from 1174 when Imago of Loon, abbess of Susteren donated the book to the abbey. In the middle: Imago. On the left: Gregory, abbot of Utrecht in the 8th and burried in the church in Susteren. On the right: Alberik, bishop of Utrecht in the late 8th c., also burried in Susteren. |
