English: Motion type I – ANM1. The deformations of ANM1, matched to the first type of motion, are shown as cartoons and viewed from the lumen. The coloring corresponds to the inter-residue correlation of chain A of GNM1-2, ranging from red to blue (Figs. 4A and 4B). The motion manifests extraction/contraction of the ring emphasized at the lumen end, with oppositely correlated dynamical elements from the two sides of the ring simultaneously approach the ring center and move away from it. |
