Strijd tegen de coloradokever; Aan de Nederlandse kusten spoelen miljoenen Coloradokevers aan, waarschijnlijk afkomstig uit België en Frankrijk. Als dit insect de kans krijgt, richt het enorme schade aan bij land- en tuinbouwgewassen. SHOTS: - cu's vretende kevers en larven; - een veld met een rijke aanplant van aardappels verandert in een kaalgevreten woestenij; - aan de stranden helpen schoolkinderen mee bij het opsporen en verzamelen van de kevers; - een man plakt een affiche aan waarin tot bestrijding wordt opgeroepen; - op het platteland worden gewassen bespoten, oa m.b.v. een Sikorsky S-51 helikopter.;
