Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An animated rotation around a 3D reconstruction of the centromere of pea chromosome 3 showing CenH3 distribution (CenH3 markers = yellow) together with total chromatin distribution (chromatin = transparent magenta), showing clearly that the majority of CenH3 markers are located toward the poleward centromere boundaries; only few CenH3 markers are localized on the lateral centromere surface. The three strongly labeled regions are composed of numerous individual signals; few diffuse signals are also found between and bordering these concentrated regions.
