| Description |
English: Straight Drain. This large drain runs at right angles to the Old Bedford River, and is much lower, running across Manea Fifties at just below sea level. In the foreground the water gives way to silt. The pipes shown in 631502 presumably take water up from the drain in times of flood, using the pumping station to the right. In the distance are buildings at Elderwood Farm on the B1093. |
