English: Time-lapse movie of the cell clone expressing the unstable YFP and CFP proteins. The YFP and CFP fluorescence was colored artificially in red and green for better visibility. The cells expressing both YFP and CFP are colored by the proportional mixture of the two colors. Note that the cells change fluorescence intensity during a single cell cycle. As a result, individual cell lineages cannot be tracked on the basis of the fluorescent protein expression level. One image was recorded every 20 minutes foe 3 days. |
